I'm sorry I do not get it they are ugly and make a horrible sound with every step. I have had waitresses flip flop over to my table showing off her dirty nasty feet and I almost instantly lose my appetite. I just don't understand how flip flops became acceptable 'fashion' today while trolling through Pintrest, procrastinating is more accurate, and I see not 1 but 3 pins of outfits that are paired with flip flops. A minimum of 3 people today put together their 'dream' outfit and in their fantasy wardrobe the shoe of choice is a flip flop.
Let me tell you a secret about making an entrance it can make it or break it, your 'style' 'sexy' 'glamorous' it girl status. I have yet to see a woman that walks gracefully in flip flops. Nope it just doesn't work its clump, clump, clump there is no gliding or subtle hip swaying. Audrey would never have worn them, nor would Marilyn, Grace, Jackie, Princess Diana ............ Unless you are actually at the beach, pool or the gym (a must for the steam room and shower room) they should not be worn in public.
