Sweats Only Better
11/10/2015

My Version Of Sweats

OOTD 11*10*2015

Occasion: Nada, zip, nothing

Style: Step up from sweats

Inspired by quote from Karl Lagerfeld "Sweats are what one puts on when they have given up"

Style Tip: This is about complimentary shapes by pairing the swing sweatshirt with a pixie pant I actually create the illusion of being thinner. Mixing shapes and materials with it's opposite you can create a great look that is interesting and unique ie: chunky knit with silk, feminine florals with edgier pieces, feminine with masculine.

Shopping:

Swing sweatshirt from Derek Lam no longer available. Look for a sweatshirt in a different cut that is more fashion forward then the traditional sweatshirt.

Options:

Crossover v-neck sweatshirt for 60.00 with 25% off at J. Crew

Highneck raglan sweatshirt for 295.00 at James Perse

Tie waist sweatshirt for 49.99 at Madewell

Dress up your plain sweatshirt with 3 brooches Zara has some great fun options and you can use the brooches to dress up a coat, blazer or at your waist on a dress that could use a little updating. It really needs to be 3 or it won't look right.

Black pixie pant on sale for 90.00 with an additional 25% off at J. Crew  This is one of my favorite pairs of pants, I have been buying this pant for years they have a real Audrey Hepburn feel to them and they are extremely flattering on.

Black studded oxfords from Sam Edelman no longer available similar from French Connection for 154.95 at Nordstroms

Other options:

Black riding boots

Black Chelsea boots

Black cat eyed sunglasses from Kate Spade on sale for 89.00 at Ez Contacts

Large gold hoops for 15.90 at Zara
