Overalls Yes or No
11/20/2015

Farmer Carrie

OOTD: 11*20*2015

Style: Very Casual

Trend: 70's

Style Tip:

Wear something that takes you out of your comfort zone to shake things up a little, overalls are definitely way outside my comfort zone.

I got these overalls as part of a review last year on how to wear overalls when you are over 40 based on the cut and color of these but I do believe they are on their way out so I wouldn't invest too much in a pair.

These are fitted, not like the overall's of the 90's with a more 70's feel than the grunge look.

Although I wore these with my fur lined (yes fur lined) converse if I had gone out I would have worn my black high heeled boots for a more polished look but I stayed home so comfort wins.

Throw your Trench Coat on and a structured lady like bag for that 'street style' look to elevate the look.

Shopping:

Overalls are from Zara similar for 69.90 at Zara

Grey and black striped turtleneck sweater from French Connection alternative option for 49.90 at Zara It is nothing like the sweater but it has the right feel and actually I like it better perfect for that 70's retro feel

Fur lined Chucks (Converse) for 75.00 at Zappos I love these they are water repellent and warm a great alternative to snow boots, especially UGGS. I do not like UGGS, yuck.

Leather cuff from The Frye Company (my signature piece) for 38.00 at Zappos I have had mine for years and it has been beaten up but a little leather conditioner or oil it is as good as new or better.

Red lipstick for fun Nars Dragon Girl for 26.00 at Sephora I don't care what the Sephora color matching machine says go for a brighter red when you get older when I look at pictures from the blog I prefer the brighter orange red over the blue or brick reds that they said look best.
